How to activate a partnership with an affiliated company?
The procedure for starting a collaboration between IRCCS Rizzoli Ortopaedic Institute and a company registered in the Register of Industrial Partners follows a defined process, involving both the Institute and the industrial partners. The main steps are as follows:
a) Definition of the design requirement
The IRCCS identifies a specific need related to a research result or project with potential industrial application. This step allows the objectives of the collaboration to be clearly defined.
b) Consultation of the register
The Institute consults the Register to identify companies with relevant skills and characteristics for the project. Selection criteria include:
- Technological and research capabilities.
- Experience in the field of interest.
- Compatibility and synergy with ongoing projects.
c) Public notice for partner selection
When the need for collaboration arises, IRCCS publishes a public selection notice on the website. This notice invites only companies already registered in the register to participate, by submitting an expression of interest or a project proposal that meets the specified needs. The interested companies must follow the procedures and criteria indicated in the official documentation attached to the call.
d) Formalisation of the agreement
Once the partner is selected, collaboration is formalised through a specific contract or agreement which includes the technical, legal and administrative terms necessary to start the project.
This procedure ensures transparency and maximises opportunities to exploit the expertise of companies registered in the register, while ensuring that the Institute achieves the best results in terms of technology transfer and industrial development.
